Variloc Torque Reactive Differentials

ICP formed Variloc Distributors in 1991, and started marketing its own version of a “ramp and clutch” type differential, also known worldwide as a “Salisbury” type. Salisbury type differentials have been the dominant racing differentials for more than 50 years in everything from F1 and World Rally Cars, to CART and Formula Atlantic.

Our goal was to bring the US racing markets the most versatile and popular racing differential ever known, but to make it specifically for US made live-axle rear ends. Our success has been almost overwhelming, with multiple championships in every form of US racing. A partial list of these championships includes every SCCA GT2, GT3, and GT4 championship since 1992 and championships in Formula Atlantic, D Sports, NASCAR Busch, Trans AM, ARCA, ASA, DIRT, UMP, IMCA, Indy Lights, STARS, All-Pro, and a host of local track championships of every type.

The Variloc design makes it the most reliable and tunable differential you can buy, equally at home in the Daytona 24 Hour race as it is on a ¼ mile dirt bullring. While there are many types of differentials are available, no other can make this claim.

As with all ICP products, the Variloc has undergone constant improvements over the years – if we can make it better, we do, and many of the updates can be retrofitted to older units.

All differentials are made from aircraft quality materials and are CNC machined to exacting tolerances. Careful attention to details assures that you will get many years of reliable usage – most of our units produced in 1991 are still in service and still winning.

You won’t find better bang for the buck in the differential market.
